Now I have been the guy to close t he museum at the end of the day, and I do have to say that walking alone in the WWII gallery when it is pretty dark since we have turned most of the lights off, can play tricks on your mind. We have heard stories of seeing pilots and crews walking to their aircraft in full flight gear. The only time anything ever got to me was one evening I was about to close down the WWII gallery, and one lady on her way out told me how great she thought we had done with the reinactors. We don't have reinactors! So I walked all through the gallery, and around each aircraft, and never saw anything. As for the Strawberry Bitch , she is an all orignal combat veteran from North Africa. | |||||||||||||
