F-4J Phantom "SHOWTIME 100" 1:48

I HAVE GOT TO SAY THIS BEING MY FIRST F-4 IN A 1/48 SCALE IS BIG AND HEAVY TOO.
I like the detail work really well it looks to have all painted logos on this with no decals that i can see.
As for the nose being gloss or semi gloss is no biggie i can always use dullcoat on it.
From the pictures i have seen of Showtime it did have a semi-gloss nose cone.
Enjoy the pictures.

Nevermind. Your pics didn't load properly at first, for me. I did a 'right-click...show picture' and VIOLA....there she IS!!!

Very nice Showtime 100, btw. Thanks for the pics!

Franklin Mint Showtime 100

This particular F-4 was one of the first Franklin Mint pieces I ever got, and I've got to agree that she's a beauty. Cunningham's dogfight in that machine will always be an epic, so it doesn't surprise me that this model is getting harder to find.

The only thing wrong with it is her sheer size, which makes collecting of Franklin Mints difficult. Now if Corgi would only do this in 1/72.

I go with one in 1/72 also...
I don't have many jets in 1/48 other then the F-86 and it goes well with them but...WOW..She's a big one....Now i see why they don't make one in 1/18.

You know, I've been hesitating so far partly because I'm in the process (and it's taking me forever) to re-decal my Corgi Duxford Phantom to Duke's "Showtime 100" mount. I agree that the FM Phantom is very tempting....must resist!!!
