Which P-38?

My fellow forumites, I seem to be having a dilemma as to which scheme should I get? Please have pity on me and help me out. Thank you for your understanding!

Re: Which P-38?

I have the Richard Bong one.
I think it's a better looking model then the other P-38's.
Besides he is after all the "Ace of Aces" for America.

Re: Which P-38?

I think I'll go for Bong's P-38 per your recommendation, Starman. Still, the California Cutie still grabs me - must be the D-Day Stripes or something...

Re: Which P-38?

Get both. One is natural metal, and the other is olive drab. They make a nice set And you know you'll end up getting the other one anywho

Re: Which P-38?

I have the Bong one, it is great.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Which P-38?

I'd hit the Bong. (I'd like to give credit to the person who used this joke on the previous forum, but I can't remember who it was. Anyway, I'd like to acknowledge that it has been used way before me.)

Seriously, though...
If you plan on getting the Corgi 1:72 Bong P-38, then get the olive drab one - that way you have 2 different paint schemes (a little more diversity) in your overall collection. If you only do 1:48 Armour, then I think the Bong is the better model - especially with history/pilot condsidered. JMHO
