| Re: What's the story on the Big Hairy Bird B-26 [quote=aeroeng;14869]I like "Flak Bait" & "BHB". I wanted to get an olive drab B-26 without the invasion stripes, but I didn't like the odd fluorescent looking green on the leading and trailing edges of the wing on "Gunga Din" (FM-B11E206, see below). It doesn't seem even close to accurate. If Franklin Mint doesn't offer a different paint scheme for 2007 that I like, I think I'm going to go ahead and get "Flak Bait". It'll be my first die-cast with invasion stripes The new paint scheme offered for the B-26 this year didn't turn me on. So guess what? I ordered "Flak Bait" and received it Thursday evening (along with the Nightstalkers F-117). And, I think it looks great with the invasion stripes . In the future I think I'll consider more planes with invasion stripes. ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: What's the story on the Big Hairy Bird B-26 I have this one in my collection as well. I think Flakbait is the one to get for it's historical value and looks. That is why I got it. | |||||||||||||
