The Wittmann Tiger I is great, tracks, spare tracks, hull, main gun are all metal, the overall look is A+

Starman ...

I entertained collecting 1/16 tanks – for about three seconds. Not that they’re not extremely cool – ‘cause, brother, they’re definitely that.

It's a case of little space. You buy about ten of these monsters and you’ve practically pushed your family out the door. Where in the heck do you display them???

I bought a 5.10 foot high display piece, combination of wood and metal and i can display at least twenty 1/16 tanks, unless you live in a single room there shouldn't be any problems, imagine if you bought a 1/4 Tiger tank, now that would really be a problem, when in motion it can be a deadly threat to small kids, cats & dogs

Indeed, and they don't even care half a second about space or money...

A picture would be very great if you can share it with us. Would love to see how it looks the display piece.

Any of you guys could tell which of all the Chinese-made 1:16 R/C tanks looks the best (most realistic). Could using some time/refurbishing on any of those make good-looking models...?

Armored train is quite impressive, and looks to be functional too (Now thats what I call a train layout.).

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: 1:16 Tiger Tank #85204

I own three Tamiya Tigers,an RC Tiger1 and a pair of super-detailed TigerIIs.Also acouple of VWs and a '40 Ford 2ton truck....I love them, but the space problem is now an issue....If the model is well detailed you want a case to preserve it,which just complicates the issue.I also own a display Tiger 1(Tamiya) unfinished due to health issues.Wish I could extend my house by just a few feet to stretch things out a bit, because now I have to rotate stuff in and out of my closet for display....Oh well..............................

Sell one Tamiya Tiger and you have money to expand the house............I have looked at many of the Chinese-made 1:16's and they don't look bad at the pictures. I mean, you do not necessarily need a metal one to make a fine static modell if it is reasonably nice from the outset. I have seen one Panzer IV which seemingly could be made to look like the Syrian postwar version.
