1/72 Panzer IV H/J

Recently saw the picture of this on a retailer's website - looks like a must-get, with side-skirts, turning tracks, and a commander figure. The only other diecast PzIV (sometimes) available are the old CDC/Matchbox models, and they're too expensive on eBay (not to mention not having a commander). I imagine there will soon be a flood of plastic Pz III and IV models from Dragon and EasyModel, but the FoV models - especially the Grant and the Soviet assault gun - are real metal and really look good!

There is also an Altaya 1/72 Panzer IV G model with at least some metal in it. Don't know if that counts as diecast though. There are more informations on the Altaya Collections website under model #27.

Re: 1/72 Panzer IV H/J

I just picked one up in Phoenix at TRU for $10.49. It is okay. Very plasticky, even the turret. The lack of weathering on the action version is definitely a detriment, and the schurzen brackets very thick and badly proportioned. I was planning on ten of these, but now think I will settle on 2 to fill out a platoon of CDC/Matchbox Pz. IVs. The Lee is very nice. Sorry, no pics!

Pretty please. Looks like we may well have to wait for Dragon or HM given tankguys comments though.
