Re: FOV new stuff

Hi Guys,

I've tracked down some more pics of the FOV 1.72 new stuff. A few repaints and reissues, but the one to watch out for is the 251halftrack + PaK 40 A.T. gun. From the poor pic ( the only one I could locate...we need a better pic ! ) the 251 looks good but it's very hard to make out the PaK 40. I might have to buy it, despite the reissued soldiers ! :

Re: FOV new stuff

I wonder when we will start seeing the Panzer IV in stores? This is one I have been waiting on.

Re: FOV new stuff

Thanks for the pics MoMo.

The Panzer IV J looks like it'll be great. Same with the SdKfz 251 and PaK 40. I don't know about the rest of 'em though. Might buy the M3 Lee. Probably not going to buy the King Tiger or Tiger I - heck, the new Tiger I looks exactly like the first release. Maybe the picture isn't of the actual product. The T-34/85 still has the awful casting and huge gap in the turret - no thanks. The T-72 looks all right though... hmm.

Hopefully they won't delay these releases for very long - and I hope they come up with new products, because a smattering of repaints and one or two actual new releases per year or so isn't going to keep their fans happy for long!!

Re: FOV new stuff

I really do wish that they would reconsider the decision with the Stryker. I'd take a 1/32 or 1/72 of those anytime. FOV does some outstanding releases in 1/32, but why don't they do the same in 1/72 scale?

Who can tell what's in the collective heads of FOV? Trying to guess why they chose this idea, and discard that idea, is beyond me. I guess they go with what they can sell fastest.

Some of their output in 1.72 has been very good, while those of you who collect 1.35 have found some great stuff! The mighty Tigers in 1.16 have found many fans.....for a price.......too!

Why no Stryker? They must have tested the market feeling by asking their biggest customers.

Re: FOV new stuff

They must prefer to ignore the demands of the market sometimes. Nobody makes a 1/72 scale MLRS or Paladin (hint!!!). Trumpeter is at least releasing, or re-releasing, a 1/72 scale LAV-25 model kit.

You may be lucky, Cavtanker, and have an FOV spy reading your " wish list " at this very minute !

I sure as heck hope so! If FOV makes these, it'll definitely make my day and make them stand out in both the diecast and plastic modeling markets!

A 1/72 diecast Paladin has already been released by Altaya.
