Re: FOV new stuff

check out this U.K. site for types and prices, Starman. The Hongwell/Schuco jeeps in 1.32 or 1.35 scale are cheep, cheerful and well-modelled die-casts.

ceers,

Re: FOV new stuff

Dear Timbo, and all you Guys out there keeping an eye on prices,

I've had another look at the current state of the U.K. versus the U.S.market in FOV hardware. Here is a round-up of the main facts with several points to note when comparing prices:
  • the exchange rate is now £1.00 = $2.00!
  • all the FOV hardware in the U.K. is Enthusiast
  • the U.S. has a choice of paint finishes
  • the cheaper paint finishes at $8.00 ( £4.00 ) encourages the possibility of being adventurous and adding to the finish by detailing
  • the more expensive finishes at £8.00 to £9.00 ( $ 16.00 to $18.00 ) deter collectors from experimentation
  • all the new range of FOV vehicles has been available in the U.K. for a few months
  • the distribution in the U.S.A. has been slow and haphazard
  • the U.K. shops which I frequent are now awash with FOVs current stock from the 2007 catalogue
  • there is no shortage of any items now in U.K. outlets ( which tend to be small hobby shops. The larger stores like " Toys R Us " steer clear of War Toys in the U.K. )
Please post any moves to up FOV 1.72 scale prices by the large stores on either side of the pond. Similarly, please post if you find bargains!

Re: FOV new stuff

Forces of Valor has retired their current 1:32 T-34/85 and announced the release of the next. The new version is model # 80318. I don't have a definite release date for this model yet.

Thanks
Ronnie

Re: FOV new stuff

There is also 4 M3, but all their main cannon is drooping down...

FOV should enclose a viagra tablet in each M3's box. This might help out with the "droopiness" of the cannon.

Re: FOV new stuff

The new FOV 1/72 stuff finally hit my area Target. NW Louisiana. I picked up the SU-122. They also had the half-track with rocket launcher.

Re: FOV new stuff

What do you think of the new stuff, Cpoeland?

Did you get Enthusiast versions or the cheaper toy versions? Did they have the full range of new items from the 2006 catalogue?
