Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

How come Whittmann has a black uniform and the rest of its crew has a camouflage one? I have seen the dragon models Tiger Ace and Glory, they are all with black uniforms ( crew and Whittmann) or can.do wich offers a tiger crew with the crew and commander wearing camouflage uniform but this is first time I see commander and crew with different uniform. Anybody can enlighten me please.

The photos of Wittmann wearing black were for propaganda.. I doubt very seriously that he wore his black SS uniform into combat, most likely, he wore camouflage..

Hworth18,
What you said makes sense. Anyway, this version of Tiger is very attractive. I might have to start to save.

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

It looks like this will have a production run of about 1800 pieces worldwide with only 350 going to North America. It has an expected arrival date of October. We have them available for preorder now.

Thanks
Ronnie

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

The new Wittman Tigers are starting to ship. With the limited edition I wouldn't expect these to be around to long.

Thanks
Ronnie

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

Is this tank already available in the USA or Pre-order only at the moment? Does the Tiger have 3 antennas as shown in the picture?

regards

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

The Tigers are shipping in the US now. I still haven't seen anything other than those pictures. We are shipping our preorders direct from the distributor and haven't received our stock yet.

Thanks
Ronnie

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

I will buy this tank. I have already the first 3 King Tiger and Tiger 1/16 releases from FOV. The only problem i have at the moment i cant display them due to not enough space available. I need a new display case and then the tanks will be the highlights of my collection .
Would be great when FOV plans to release a Panther 1/16 tank in 2008. That would be fantastic.

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

So are these all metal, mostly metal, or hardly any metal (diecast, whatever)?

Re: 1.16 Whittmann Intel Pics

I like that diorama. The crew posing to get their picture taken. Has that been done before?
Not an armour guy but I think that is so cool.
