Re: FOV NY Toyfair pics..

That Landing craft looks great. When will that one be out?

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: FOV NY Toyfair pics..

My local Hobby Shop (in the U.S.) has the Grant - but I've never seen it at a Target (or anywhere else). I've also seen it at online dealers.

I've seen the Grant at a local target a month or so ago...

Re: FOV NY Toyfair pics..

Could you tell if this was in a new wave, Pappy? Any other new/repainted vehicles in there? After the T-34 - Stuka zu Fuss wave sold out around here, they've restocked with older Tigers and Abrams.

Re: FOV NY Toyfair pics..

BernardDoes anybody weather their FOV diecast or they already look real by itself? cause i found that their modern stuff looks too clean.

It seems that all the FOV diecast sold in the UK is weathered as much as possible. They sell weathered and toy versions in the USA.

It should be out quite soon, Mustangdriver. They are on a ship right now on their way to the UK. ( Literally, ' The Slow Boat From China'! )
I was in Edinburgh today at Wonderland ( the premier model shop in Edinburgh ), a place in which you would get lost and never be found again!
The guys there are all friendly and knowledgeable, and the guy at the counter of the model/hobby/diecast section said that they were on order.

Also, if you visit toybox100 site, ' British and American diecasts ' you will see them posted on the FOV list which is about halfway down a longggggg list of everything war-related from everybody. The titles are inactive at present which means no pictures or prices or date of arrival, but it's a sure sign that this mail-order company will get them first here, and will activate them for resale first too!

djjeffhallTankguy,
Hey there.

I seem to recall folks stating that the Grant doesn't land in the U.S. until this fall.

I can't understand the delay with the Grant. It has been here for about four months, and I think that it is one of FOV's best.

I picked up the Su-122 at the time, and the Russian tank with the huge turret (can recall the correct name) was in the assortment, too -- looked like a T-72 with a headache... As was the churchill.

The Me-262, zero, and several new stukas were there, too. Plus various Tigers and I believe King Tigers. None of the german halftracks, or P-40s though, which is what I was wanting to see.

Last time I went in, a couple weeks ago, they just had Tigers, Kings (I think), stukas, and abrams.

Maybe I'm dreaming, but I could swear the GRant was there, and that I looked at it and wasn't impressed... (They're in stock at TFM, so maybe I wasn't dreaming...)

Re: FOV NY Toyfair pics..

I was just asking because the wave that came out before Christmas had the Su-122, T-34/85(big turret Russian), 251/rocket launchers, M3A3 halftrack, and the M113. The only place I've seen the Grant is at hobby shops in the black box enthusiast editions. I'll have to keep an eye out.

That's exactly what all my local Targets had before Christmas. Now all I find at Target are the 1/72 figure sets and old releases like the 1/72 King Tiger, Sherman and Churchill. I've yet to see the Grant, though I'm keeping my eye out for it. I have at least 5 Target stores within 10 miles of my house and they're all pretty much the same.
