Here's a pic from Small Scale HQ :
( thanks Class A Trooper! )

But where's the landing craft, LOL? I'll post some pictures in a couple hours.

Re: 1:72 Landing Craft - Target!

My computer threw a fit while I was hunting through pics. I posted the Dragon+Sherman to show the relative sizes. I was then trying to find the Dragon Wagon+LCM3 image. I've not seen stills, but I have seen film of the event, and it looks awsome!

If you could find some LegioLXXll, then our day would be complete.

Re: 1:72 Landing Craft - Target!

Pictures as promised... Keep in mind that though this particular FOV LCM is not weathered, they do make one as well. Also, I left off the MG's on both and the crewman for the Dragon LCM.

Re: 1:72 Landing Craft - Target!

Airfix did a toy one of those in the 70's to go with their plastic solders and tanks. It was very crude, but successfully enabled me + friends to re-enact D-Day in my sandpit. I think I might still have it somewhere at my parents house.

Ooops!

Re: 1:72 Landing Craft - Target!

Thanks for the comparitive pics on the FOV and Dragon versions of the LCM3 LegioLXXll. I don't have the Dragon version, but on looking at it I would say that the FOV version could do with a bit more weathering and a bit more of a combination of Rust ( new ) and Rust ( old ).

Despite doing a wee search, I could find no stills from the newsreel footage of the Dragon Wagon carrying the landing craft.

I'll keep trying.
