Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

I have to say that I'm disappointed with "pre-built" large scale models (i.e. 1:32 and 1:35 scale) models in contrast to 1:72 ones because it seems to me that no company has been able to find a balance in their offerings.

Minichamps is way too expensive for what one gets, even with built quality taken into account and "silvery" tracks and machine guns drive me nuts.

1:35 Dragons are the best, but suffer from lack of detail allowed by larger size. Where are interior and engine detail one might ask?

There is one alternative that hasn't been discussed, but I don't know anyone who bought Targa 1:48 Tiger I:

Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

That's a pretty nice interior feature--I mean, I'm used to "no interior detail", so it's just a plus in my opinion.

Do they do any other vehicles?

Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

I have only two of the FOV range (88 and the Quad Flak half track) and have been very impressed with them. They are very plasticky but none the less I recommend at least these two models.

Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

I bought a couple and I like them but I wouldn't buy one without seeing it first as the cammo is sometimes different than what's shown in their catalogue.

Thumbs up Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

I think for the money the Dragon tiger is very poor , it has more plastic than metal
The best armour to get is W britains & its very good stuff

Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

Dragon just recently entered the 1/35 scale, but their issues have been excellent. Cost is always a problem, that's why I stay mainly with 1/72. I do have a 1/32 FOV King Tiger and a 1/35 21Ct King Tiger. I like them both, but favor the FOV. It just looks better to me, and comes with a lot of extras. So many choices, so few dollars.

Re: 1/32 Tiger I?

I also didn't like Dragon Tiger I since the increase in level of detail overDargon's own 1:72 version to say nothing of Hobby Master 1:56 Tiger I (the best mass produced Tiger I model available, in my opinion) is minimal. High price and no interior detail sealed the deal for me.

Sergey
