Re: 251 Aust. D mit Wurfrahmen 40

I've got one, though I'll have to take pictures if you want more than what is shown below. Nice, but not as nice as the Dragon Armor German halftrack.

Thanks Legio, but that the pre-production shot isn't it? I've seen that before. I'd really like to see a real production one though

Re: 251 Aust. D mit Wurfrahmen 40

Thanks Legio, you're a gentleman and a scholar, I really appreciate it

I think I like the pre-production one better

Looks like I'll have to wait for Dragon to make one like it

Thanks again Legio

Re: 251 Aust. D mit Wurfrahmen 40

Nice, but not as nice as the Dragon Armor German halftrack.

Mr. LegioLXXII,
As I'm not competent for Armors diecasts (I collect only 1/72 Corgi AA/Dragon warbirds) , I'm looking for one of these halftracks to add (as diorama accessories) to my models.
Eventhough I've seen, here and there, on websites, some pics of the halftracks, I've never seen them in real. Could you tell me why the Dragons Sd.kfz are better than the FOV's one, and from Dragon, which ones are great (camo/finish) ?
BTW, do you have the US halftrack from FOV (with the figures) ? If so, what do you think of it too ? Thanks for your answer.

Re: 251 Aust. D mit Wurfrahmen 40

Guignol1971,

The Dragon halftrack has overall better detail. Take the drivers compartment for instance, the Dragon Armor halftrack is extremely detailed and realistic looking where as the Forces of Valor is rather simple. Look at the first picture I posted above and you'll see a very noticeable seam where the vehicle was put together. Dragon also has a visible seam but isn't as noticeable. The road wheels on the FOV halftrack are rough compared to the Dragon halftrack. The outside of the FOV halftrack has overall good detail but just isn't quite up to Dragons standards. I personally like all the Dragon paint schemes, that's really up to personal preference.

I also have the FOV US halftrack and like it quite a bit. The drivers compartment leaves some to be desired, but is better detailed than the 1/72 Corgi halftrack.

Thanks for the explanations Mr. Legio LXXII !!
However IMHO, for the US halftrack, the choice is reduced because I believe the Corgi's halftrack is 1/50 not 1/72...

They also make one in 1/72. Below is a comparison picture...

Here's another comparison between the Forces of Valor US halftrack and Altaya US halftrack.
