Broken FoV tracks?

Has anyone experiences with breaking FoV tracks? The tracks on my Tiger and Grant, just standing around for a few months, are broken. I know this only from older (pre-90s) models and stuff, bad material probably?

Re: Broken FoV tracks?

I bought one off Ebay when they first were released that had a broken track, haven't tried to fix it yet. I also saw one at a Target store with a broken track.

Can't say about the Tiger tank, but sounds like a panzerfaust knocked out the Grant's tracks.

Unlikely, they didn't have the Panzerfaust in North Africa. I suppose it was a near hit of Admiral Pz IIIL. On that day, I noticed the turret was turned toward the Grant, and the barrel had turned black...strange...
Probably just hallucinations of an addict caused by a diecast overdose

Maybe it was a prototype.

Re: Broken FoV tracks?

Hey folks,
Unfortunately FOV tracks break fairly easily. I haven't figured out why, but it just seems to be from age. I've never broken one just playing with them (The tracks roll.) but I've picked them up, after they have sat for a few days/weeks, and they have broken.

It could be the seam where they are glued comes loose? That's the only thing I can think of, but haven't seen anything consistent.

Re: Broken FoV tracks?

I have several 1/32 tanks and play with them with my son( ok, im a big boy, its my way of letting out some steam ) . All the tracks are ok so far. I once asked UNIMAX for a set of tracks for a Konigstiger that werer destroyed by paint thinner when I was trying to make some changes on the painting and UNIMAX sent it from Hong Kong together with a free catalog...and they didnt charged me a single cent.
