Re: New Planes

Here are some pics of the upcoming planes.. I am a "little" disappointed that FOV couldn't come up with more original schemes..

It looks like there may be a missile rack hiding under that 262 wing?

Yes, it looks like the R4M rockets which were used on the Me-262..

Re: New Planes

You notice how many companies are doing the same Me262 paint scheme with the number 8 on it.
I like the Zero seems nice and clean.

And there are SO many better schemes than Nowotny's 8..

Curious to see if it really has the mass balance weights on the ailerons.. If it does, that is something NOT done by any other manufacturer..

Re: New Planes

I saw the white Hurri today, and left it where I found it. It wasn't "weathered", it was "terrible".
The Sears Canada Wishbook (and website) has the Snake Stuka and a Corsair in 1/72, the 1/32 Spit and Mustang, along with some tanks and figurines in both scales.

Re: New Planes

I found the white hurricane at sears in montreal canada.
I bought it, it is either weathered or badly painted. eventhough it is far from perfect I like it.

Re: New Planes

Based on these pictures, I'm really disappointed in the P-40. Originally it was announced that it would be a "N" version which would have meant I would buy atleast two. Now, I really have to customize my remaining IXO P-40N. The markings are Pearl Harbor vintage but it isn't a "B". I've got an EasyModel "B/C" that I'm going to repaint with early 1941 U.S. Army Air Corps markings. I know it's not diecast, but it does lend itself accurately.

If I see the P-40 anywhere and it's fairly reasonably priced, I'll pick one up just for ha-ha's.

Re: New Planes

I like the p-40 and the Zero I will have to see them up close. I am always looking to upgrade stuff I already have. when I saw Witty's zero I dumped Corgi and Dragons versions.

Re: New Planes

I would have snatched up a Pearl Harbor P-40B in a heartbeat! I wonder why the diecast companies seem so reluctant to make a proper "B" model P-40? Perhaps for the same reason we don't have a "B" model P-51? (OK, except for that one company that made one - but I don't like that livery . . .)

Re: New Planes

I'm thinking about the pearl harbor P-40 but I'll have to see it in person. I got rid of all 3 FOV's I have but I'm not totally opposed to them if it looks good
