FOV Questions & Observations

I am becoming more of a FOV fan now that they are more available around here lately. I have the NF Hurri from some time ago, and just added the White one they have just put out.

Is anyone else bothered by the huge screw holes in the wings once you take it out of the packaging? It wasn't too obvious with the NF, but the white one shows it all to well. Is there a fix provided that I am missing? If not, it is really too bad that they have not figured out that while even though it is on the underside, those 2 gaping holes really detract from the model overall. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

May the farts be with you, and not me.

Re: FOV Questions & Observations

I find those holes absolutely horrible.
I have never heard of that white hurricane? Could you post pictures, I am very interested! Or a link to pictures?

Re: FOV Questions & Observations

Landrocket,
Hey there.

I'm with you on Forces of Valor. I really like the line. In expensive and especially with this years tanks, doing some obscure stuff that no one else is going to do anytime soon. It's not a line where I feel like I need every single livery, but having one Stuka and Hurricane is nice and they look great next to your Corgi's, Dragon, Hobby Master and Admirals.

As for the screw holes, you could try some filler putty from your local hobby shop. It would take a little work, and some painting on your part, but if you really need them gone that should do it? I'm not a modelling expert so I really can't be more specific, but for 8-10 bucks a pop, who cares if it's not perfect. You can always get another plane and learn from the experience. Two or three planes from now and Corgi's will be calling asking you to make their next mould!

Re: FOV Questions & Observations

Is that the white Royal Navy one, landrocket? I heard they were doing one very similar to my repaint from some time ago.

Re: FOV Questions & Observations

No, this one's an FOV repaint Fileas, you may be thinking of my Russian Hurricane which is a Corgi. Apparently FOV is doing this same Royal Navy livery, which likely is what landrocket has just bought, but I was hoping he'd confirm.

Re: FOV Questions & Observations

Sorry for the delay. I just picked up the white Hurricane from Sears. The photo below is bad, but it is from listing # 190034103620

Re: FOV Questions & Observations

I will try to take a photo of mine, but I broke off a machine gun... duh! and it is under repair at the moment.

Cheers.

PS I quite like it, it seems to be a "field applied" finish, so not as nice looking as the one repaint posted below... which is an excellent job!

How much is Sears selling these for landrocket?
