F-14 missing a piece

Well i have had the FOV F-14 Tomcat for sometime and ive noticed this problem from the beginning, but i until now i have decided to do something
The green outlined thruster piece has always been missing from the F-14 i recieved and i was wondering what i could do about it and if FoV could send me it or anything like that, thanks

Did you try contacting where you got it from? The sooner the better. Thats a pretty big flaw

in that case, try getting a cheap hasegawa kit and with a bit of tinkering and painting, it should be able to fit

Re: F-14 missing a piece

If this model is 1/72nd scale, Squadron does have a F-14A Exhaust Nozzles set. Price is slightly cheaper than buying a kit to swipe a tail pipe.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: F-14 missing a piece

At squadron.com the closest piece i can find is this
Squadron.com
But I really don't want to pay 20 dollars just to add a piece to the model, I am fine the way it is if costs 20$.

I did find a 15$ish 1/72 model kit on squadron.com however, but to me thats too much for a piece.

Re: F-14 missing a piece

Hi miL0,

have you tried to contact FOV directly? I owned 2 FOV tomcats...the first tomcat, when assembling the missiles, i broke one of the pylons. they send me replacement parts of it free of charge, including extra sets of phoenix pallets...

The second tomcat i got from them, was slightly defective, it has a huge gap in the fuselage area. again i contacted FOV if I could have a " New " replacement model. again they send me another one, thru their distributor here in the Philippines.

In case your wondering, I contacted Noel Wong, FOV asia, Hongkong.

Hope this helps...
