Thumbs down 1/32 Spit

Was at my local (1 hour drive not to local) to check out and pick up a Dragon Wildcat. While I was there I notice they had a battle scared 1/32 Spit.
Man did they ever over do it with the rivets. It worse than the Matchbox Mig 15. Was thinking about getting it till I actually saw it now I would even grab it if it was on sale for $5.00.

Kabel, (Sorry at first I thought you were talking about the Corgi Spit)
The FOV Spit is really a poor piece, and it (and the whole line) should be revamped to fix the problems with the Spitfire, Mustang and most notably the BF-109..

Re: 1/32 Spit

After looking at the Spit I didn't even bother with the other FOV aircraft.

Re: 1/32 Spit

There is still hope if only FOV would redo their Spit's and Bf-109's like they did with their current F-14s. The line has potential, me thinks?!!

I had heard about a year ago that FOV was going to revamp its 1/32 A/C line and correct many of the problems, but I haven't heard anything since..

Re: 1/32 Spit

That would be great if they would. They have potential to have some great stuff.

Re: 1/32 Spit

Hey Harry, do you know if FOV will 'upscale' their 1/72nd Stuka/Hurricane/Corsair to 1/32nd scale? I know it's a pipe-dream fantasy of mine but I thought I heard it somewhere before?

I haven't heard ANYTHING from FOV and their website is a deadstick..
I am still waiting on the Me-262 they were supposedly going to produce in 1/72.. For now, they just seem to be cranking out new schemes of the same old stuff (in aircraft anyways)...

Re: 1/32 Spit

I have a 1/32nd scale 262 from 21st century. It is pretty nice. But I have the Franklin Mint one, and am considering trading it for something. It is in the markings of Galland's aircraft.
