FOV 1/72 Tornado Desert Storm

I would like to add the FOV Tornado to my collection but not sure about the quality and the detailing. I've seen some pics of the aircraft but not in the flesh. Some find the panel lines are too deep. Any advice appreciated.

My advice is stivk with Corgi Tonka, any Corgi Tonka will do. Unlike FoV F-14, FoV Tornado is abomitation, way overdone weathering and panel lines are more like trenches.

Regards,

Sergey

Hi Tedongganas, I have seen the FOV Tordano at a local hobby shop and have to agree with Berkut. The quality and finishing of FOV's Tordano looks like some of their tanks. I would give it a pass.

I got one, now realize I am not as picky as the rest on here. I like it plus it is solid, It is overdone a bit, but for $23.00 I am happy with it for the money.

No worries Biggie. To each his own
I've got a colleague who liked the FoV Tornado so much that he displayed it next to his PC in the office, and FoV products in Singapore don't come cheap!

I'm not as fussy as most collectors either, but I got this plane for $5 USD last year and I still couldn't stand it. Looks and feels like a toy. Landing gear is clunky plastic, the panel lines have the darkest inking I've ever seen before and the pilots have a very simple paint job - looks like somebody plunked a dollop of yellow paint on the heads and left it at that. I sold it for about the same price on eBay a while back. I was pretty upset about how it looked because I built a model of a GR.1 when I was kid, right after the first Gulf War.

I recommend that you avoid it unless you can get it reeeeal cheap.
