Here are some pics of the offending areas on the FOV F-14. The wing root gap is twice as bad as on the CW Black Knight bird. I thought about takig it apart to see what the issue was but it can wait until I get back.
The hinge area isn't so bad, but takes away from the overall appearance. I'm thinking of extending the black paint to the rear of the cockpit to better hide it.
Still overall not too bad, the wash could be more uniform but oh well. Sitting next to my CW Tomcats you can't tell the difference without really looking.

hi shawn,its got to be something in the assembly process as the two fov release's i have are perfectly put together with no faults or defects.

Shawn, you have to fix it before you go, or else it will drive you nuts.

So is it safe to unscrew it and try to fix it? I'm not having much luck with any F-14 I get.
