Re: How are the FOV stukas?

#85030 German Ju 87B-2 St. G 1 - Eastern Front Product

#85330 German Ju 87B-2 St. G 51 - France Product

#85430 German Ju 87R-2 St. G 2 - North Africa Product

#85230 (Ju 87B STG 77, Austria 1941) isn't listed on their site, oddly. Not even in their retired section. Unless I'm blind and didn't see it?

Hope this helps.

It will be hard to find the FOV Austria 1941 Stuka, as only 5 were made of which I have one of them. This particular Stuka is so rare that only billionaires are buying them. Currently 4 are in the hands of those billionairs and the remaining one, which is mine is in a bidding war between one American billionaire, one European billionaire, and 2 Middle Eastern billionaires. The current bid is up to $4,650,000 with another 2 days to go. Bidding is feaverous.

.......damn, just woke up, sorry guys I guess I was just dreaming.

Re: How are the FOV stukas?

I've got several Corgis and FOV Stukas. Both companies make nice birds, however, the FOV Stuka is $12.00 (Plus state tax) at Target. You can't beat the price.

The only real negative with the bird is that the box is a one and done thing. Once it is out of the box, you cannot re-store it. A big issue if you have limited space and need to swap out your birds.

The detailing won't be as crisp as the Corgis, so make sure to look through each box at your bird before you buy. I've never had a big problem, but I'm not a rivet counter in any way. For $12.00, I can over look a few minor glue marks. (Or whatever. Honestly, I've got the Snake version within an arms lenght and outside of the lack of swazi on the tail, can't tell the difference. I'm sure I could if I [i]really[i] wanted to look, but nothing is obvious from 5 feet away.

Oh, almost forgot, FOV stands are great. I mount my Stukas "backwards" on the stand which gives them a very nice "just pushed over/just started to pull out" feel to them. Very sturdy, very steady, very cool.

Anything for a weird life.

Re: How are the FOV stukas?

Hi

Well I checked my local target, no stukas and not even a single aircraft (Matchbox doesn't count). I have decided to hold until I see one close and personal. It seems the Corgi's are a much better product from the answers here but again it's all in the eye of the beholder.
I am not too picky but I don't want dogs in my collection.

Thanks for all the quick help

Patrick

Vaindioux, I purchased 'The Snake Stuka'. It was still barking at me as I returned it to to its box and back to the dealer. I have 13 Stukas in my collection. FM's ....Corgi's and HM's.NO FOV's Sometimes it's better to go the extra buck to get satisfaction.

I have one Corgi, one HM, and one FOV Stuka, and I like them all!

Thanks for the link Pappy, it does indeed seem a little bit crude, the seams and fit appears real bad from your pics. I think it's fair priced for $12-$15.

Thanks again

Patrick

Autopsy? That sounds like fun!

I wish I would have had your kick-a$$ review before I bought mine... back then I probably could have still found the Corgi version for a reasonable price

I'm not a big Stuka fan to start with so the idea of spending 30 bucks on one did not appeal to me. I wouldn't mind having one or two in my WWII collection and the FOV fit the bill. Decent for the price but if you're a stickler probably have to look elsewhere. They're are certainly many choices between Dragon, HM, and Corgi. Personally, I never did see the allure of a plane that wound up being a target by '41.
