Re: Nuremberg Toy Fair FOVs

Who is the masked man in the red jacket?

Could he be one of the "expendable RED" shirt crews from ST?

Re: Nuremberg Toy Fair FOVs

Here's a picture of the FOV P-40 from the UK forum. Looks interesting.

Is that 1:72? (With the pilot detail, it looks to me like it might be 1:32.) It also is marked in a different AVG squadron than the pre-pro pic at Diecast Direct. Also pic at diecast direct is missing the squadron markings ans the Chinese wing insignia. I hope FoV does the Chinese wing insignia vs, not doing it - i.e. Corgi 1:72 Legends AVG and 21st 1:32 AVG P-40's. (21st did come with Chinese decals that the buyer could apply.)

Anyone have anything definitive on chinese factories not being allowed to produce anything with a Chinese Nationalist markings? I've heard somewhere that that was/is an issue - not sure the truth of it. (note - Flying Mule commisioned 1:72 Tex Hill did have Chinese Nationalist insignia.)

Re: Nuremberg Toy Fair FOVs

Doug, I think the above P-40 were seeing is actually the one pictured below? I maybe mistaken, but it sure looks very suspiciously alike!

Figarti WWII Dick Rossi AVG Flying Tigers P-40
Scale: 1/32
Materials: Metal

I've attached the next FOV P-40B/C "Flying Tiger" image below....

i think the picture is actually from the Figarti line. They make toy soldiers with an Iraq line that has masked insurgents like the one pictured. They are also marketing 1/32 scale (resin?) aircraft much like King and Countrys.

I've been doing a little checking on the mysterious FOV 1:72nd scale P-40B. I finally found a listing with a picture of this upcoming ( I hope ) model on Diecast Direct's website. It's a Hawk 81A-2 Flying Tiger from the 3rd Pursuit Squadron, flown by Charles Olders ( White 68 ).

Check Post #4 in this thread. I concur Epapazian, I hope FOV does get to release this model. We need more accurate early P-40Bs in Flying Tiger markings.

Re: Nuremberg Toy Fair FOVs

Too bad, they don't have pics of their 1/72nd scale P-40 "Flying Tigers".....oh well! Check out the 1/32nd 'Tulip Nose' Hartmann 109! Too bad it's riddled with ship rivets!!!

Thanks for posting these, fly. I would like to see more pics of "Devastating Devil." Were there any?
