I was hoping Dragon would come out with theirs. They were promising the scheme of one that shot down an Su-22 Fitter. But I've waited long enough to give up hope on that now. Sure hope i can find one of these available

Re: Fov F-14

FOV mold is a lot better than Dragon's anyways, it's second only to Century.

That was supposed to come out exactly 2 years ago..It evidently ended up in the same limbo as The Lord Is My Shepherd P-51...Maybe someday these will be discovered in a hangar at Area 51.

I wouldn't buy it if it came out now anyway....Not after seeing what CW can do with a Tomcat. Hopefully they will get around to doing the 1981 Fast Eagle 102 (and / or) 107 scheme.

Re: Fov F-14

small details aside is there proof that the FOV mold IS not the same as the Century? If so please explain as I have had both in my posession.

I still remember from the old MH 1 forum when RJLee (what ever happened to that guy anyway, did he do a Nuclear Tiger disappearing act too?) reviewed with glowing remarks about the FOV "Black Knights" and included some nice pictures - is/was the very reason that compeled me to buy the FOV model in the first place. As to the matter wether the Century Wings mould was an "upgrade" of the FOV mould, you only have to compare closely the two side-by-side by each other to see the uncanny resemblances panel-by-panel, line-per-line detail etc. So from my point-of-view, the FOV and Century Wings both shared the same mould with the CW rendition being 'tweaked' to incorporate some improvements in accuracy that the FOV somehow missed.

Re: Fov F-14

If Century Wings were to do a VF-41 scheme, I would prefer it be in that of one of the Libyan shooters..It'll most likely not happen though, as it's too low-viz...

That one could wipe out my "ONLY 2 CW Tomcats.." stance... Mr. Skunk, I agree -- it would be great to see.

I must say the new FOV doesn't look bad at all, though.

The main differences that I can tell right off the bat are the exposed hinged canopy on the FOV vs. the hidden hinges of the CW and the better detailing of the landing gear on the CW. Other than that (and the accessories), it looks the same to me!
