Why? Why? Why.....

I've been really good in 2007 regarding curbing my diecast purchases.

1) I've got a pretty good collection going - heavy WWII; very satisfied with aircraft represented; etc.
2) I've only bought 1 Corgi 2007 release and a couple Hobby Master.
3) Most of my 2007 purchases so far have been picking up older (Corgi 1:72) models on Ebay at very good prices or on dealer sales.
4) My last diecast purchase was the FOV B-25 a little over a month ago.

Today - after eyeing this model since it came out -
I picked up the FOV Corsair - White 51; VMF 323; Robert Wade pilot.

I already own the 1st 2 FOV Corsairs as well as 2 different Matchbox paint schemes; and 7 different paint schemes of Corgi corsairs.

Am I that much in love with the Corsair?
Was it because I haven't bought anything diecast in a month - and just needed that "fix?"
Was it just that I think its such a great model for the cost? Value?
Was I just desperate to pick it up before the rumored/confirmed(?) 20% price increase? (It was still $12.99 at my local Target.)
Do I just want to support the company because I like the direction they are heading in diecast?

Why....Why,,,,Why....
[I do think FOV did a good job with their Corsairs - I know others may have a different opinion. ]

Re: Why? Why? Why.....

Were I to hazard a guess -, I would pick the second reason you cited---not having bought one recently and needing a "fix". I often find myself in a similar situation and even though I am cutting back too, I enjoy coming home from the office to find a box with a new diecast waiting for my inspection. It's a little like Christmas when I was a kid, except it happens more often.
