Smile Re: Fov 1/32 Bf-109g

I don't know what the designers were thinking, however I've now seen them in a few places here but I can hardly find a Corgi 1/32 model at all. Seems that they are being brought in because they're well priced. I looked at the Spit, P51 and 109 and am most happy that I got a few Corgi 1/32s regardless of the crazy postage rates.

True, $30-$40 vs $80-$90, and if you stand 10' or more away, you probably can't tell the difference..

Post Re: Fov 1/32 Bf-109g

I was hoping that FOV would've re-worked the 109 during the almost year long delay between issues..
I guess I was wrong.........

Rivets anyone??

Yes, that spinner is the two-piece version, the tip remains still while the center turns..

The paint scheme is neat, and that's about the only good thing I can say about this..

I had a look at this particular model in my local hobby shop today & quickly returned it to the shelf that awful spinner & the Titanic type rivets were too much to bear though the pilot did make me laugh as did the price of £40.

Harry, a blind man could tell you what it was from 10' away!!! Always being on the prowl I reckon I'd know them from some distance but I guess each to his own. Some are still fortunate enough to pick up Corgis for that price or less. I bagged the Ehrle 109 for $39.

Re: Fov 1/32 Bf-109g

This Bf 109 diecast is absolutely and unequivocally disgusting with no redeeming qualities whatsoever . The 'rivet' detail, if that's what they're calling it, makes the aircraft look like it has a severe case of Chicken Pox ...

That is one over rivet thing i have ever seen.......
I'll stick with my Corgi 109 's Thank you.
Now lets all hope and pray the FOV B-25 and B-26 are done better then this thing.

Re: Fov 1/32 Bf-109g

I just saw pics of FOV's 1:32 Mustang at Bad Cats site. The rivet detail also looks awful (large raised rivets). I am not expecting the P-39 to look substantially better.

Re: Fov 1/32 Bf-109g

Whats the deal with that crappy spinner too? Did the spinner even come with 2 halves like that? I seriously doubt it! Plus is the 2 color even right?

The Spitfire has this spinner 'innovation' too, the smaller gap between the 2 pieces on the Spit makes it a little less obvious though.
