Price Increases

Just had an email from one of my suppliers that FOV is looking for a 20 point increase in the immediate future. Has anyone else heard this or is it just smoke?

A good indicator would be if TARGET increases their prices on FOVs, you'll have answer by then.

Negative....... that P-39 is no where in sight ...All they had in 1:32 was that silly looking titanic rivet purple Spitfire..

Re: Price Increases

mapleflag,
May I ask who sent out the email and when the suggested price increase is being called for? Beginning of next year, or with a new wave of releases, whenever that might be?

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Price Increases

I saw the planes up at 14.99 in Target about 2 weeks ago. TrU were still at 12.99 -

That's a 50% increase this year! Last xmas they were at 9.99

Ooops!

Re: Price Increases

The email says at the end of this month, I'd rather not say who sent it but he is a Canadian retailer.

Not according to the Target shelves in the bay area! They are the new raised price in both the stores I go into (Redwood City + Foster City/San Mateo).

Admittedly I just noticed the new prices in relation to the 1/72 planes. Not other things.

Ooops!

Still not a bad deal if you're looking for one of these. I mean a Corgi AA P-40 or Zero goes for up to $34.99. I want to get a Zero so I can re-paint it in the "new" color scheme that Landslide's dad discovered. If I ordered one I'd have to pay shipping. Since my wife goes to Target three or four times a week anyways, I'd save on shipping and packaging weight and cost.
