Re: 1/72 FOV Blackhawk Helicopter

After waiting for more than a week, my FOV blackhawk arrived this afternoon. It was much lighter than I have expected but nevertheless looks much better than the Easy Model ones. Saw mention of 95006 in the instruction sheet inside the box so there should be another similar model coming soon. Anyway, I took some quick pictures to share with you. Will be displaying it together with my 1:72 Dragon and FOV armoured vehicles and soldier figures.

Re: 1/72 FOV Blackhawk Helicopter

That's nice. Just wish one of the manufacturers would make an MH-60 Pavehawk with the refueling boom and external fuel tanks. Too bad Corgi cancelled theirs with the tanks!

FOV did indeed made a MH-60 Pavehawk - - - in 1/48th scale!

Re: 1/72 FOV Blackhawk Helicopter

Cruised through Target this past weekend and they had a few of the newer FOV diecast. Only Stukas and Hurricanes both of which I have, plus the 262 which I don't need (have the Corgi). But the 1/72 Blackhawk did catch my eye. I've been wanting a Blackhawk but I was hesitant to pay the 50 clams for the Corgi version so I picked this one up. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. For 15 bucks it was well worth it. Question for those of you who have this model- where are my door guns? Pics on the box and on the FM site show them but I can't find any. Maybe the Target version isn't as detailed?

I'm going to wait and see what Hobby Masters comes out with. I do like the Corgi Jayhawk that I saw at Burbanks House of Hobbies.

Re: 1/72 FOV Blackhawk Helicopter

I saw the fov blackhawk and passed. The first thing I noticed was the horizontal stablizer. It is in a weird rounded shape. All the H-60s I have seen has a rectagular horizontal wing.

I got one from Corgi, i picked up it from my local store, before bought it, i compare both, and in my opinion, i think corgi is bit better than FOV. I attach some pics of Corgi here, u can see and compare with pics of FOV from above quote:

Re: 1/72 FOV Blackhawk Helicopter

I picked up one of the Corgi versions awhile back at a Tuesday Morning store and have yet to take it out of its box. Need to take a look at it one of these days.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: 1/72 FOV Blackhawk Helicopter

I have both the FOV and the Corgi version, I think the Corgi verison is better of course it costs more than the Target FOV version unless you find it at Tues Morn.
I like the look and feel of the Corgi a little better
