Re: FOV 2008 releases

Will be getting the P40 though. Love the "B"'s look and this is the only game in town.

Re: FOV 2008 releases

Fly i was fixing my post....Hatmann and the 357th Mustang are in 1:32.....It would be cool to see a Flying Tiger in that scale too.

You could always get the 21st Century effort - Their P40-B isn't all that bad.

If that Spit is as good as their P-40B/C, I won't pass it up!

You're talking about 1/18, 1/32 or 1/48???
I took a close look at the Pearl Harbor 1/18 stuff and I think I am not that convinced, for the size of the model/toy, they could have put more moving parts, like on the other stuff I did purchase (F-86, MiG-15)...I did like my Carousel 1 1/48 AVG P-40B, looks so much superior than the FM/Armour version (I own both diecasts).

Back to the FOV AVG P-40, I heard from a quite reliable source that it will be shipping out from China around June/July! So don't hold your breath just yet.

Re: FOV 2008 releases

FOV always times their releases for the beginning of the Christmas season so depending on where you live in the states, these will hit between the beginning of August and beginning of October. If I recall, the hobby shops got the gear uo/down versions before Target saw the gear down only versions.

Anything for a weird life.

Re: FOV 2008 releases

But how much do the hobby shops charge for their up/down versions of FOV aircraft? I can tell you that the Patton Museum was asking an amazing amount of money!

Well, TARGET sells the FOV birds @ $12.99 each, TRUs @ $15-$20 I've seen - but these are the 'gear down' versions only. Hobby Town USA sells these @ $20 each but they're the separate undercarts versions.

and those prices are very reasonable. Especially the Stukas and Blackhawk helicopters.
