Re: white hurricane

Really!? I had no idea. Was white a color scheme they used very long? I am asking this while thinking of the gray schemes you normally associate with Atlantic service.

Thanks Timbo.

There are some pictures of this aircraft in the Squadron In Action series covering the Hawker Hurricane. Have a couple of pictures of it on the HMS Nairana during the summer of 1944.

Re: white hurricane

I had picked up a white Hurricane when they first started to appear at Target. (Then) I had looked at several (at a couple different stores) to find the one with the best paint job and a perpendicular tail. (I had even bought one at that time and returned it for one that looked better.)

Today I was in a Target and they had 2 white Hurricanes - I looked at both, and they seemed to look better than the one I bought months ago (which was still never removed from the box). I picked up the best of the 2; took it home; and it definetly has a better paint job that the one I previously bought. The white seems "thicker", more white, on the more recent purchase.

I will keep the one I bought today and the earlier purchase is going back.

I'm wondering if changes were made in the middle of production - making the ones ran through later, with a better looking paint job?
