Burbank's House of Hobbies shows this as now in stock. Anyone get a gander at this bird yet?

I read from another forum that this bird is being redone and won't be available till early part of 2008?

That, apparently, would be the 1/31 version of this model.

Re: FOV 1/31 P-39 In Stock

Saw this bird today. It is a non-weathered version (only saw it briefly in the box) and not sure if there is an enthusiast version.
Generally, a huge improvement over prior FOV 1/32 models. Probably due largely to the fact it is a new subject (not another P-51) I thought it was pretty nice. Paint seems much more accurate than prior FOV efforts. Price seems a little hefty ($40-50), but still a decent addition to the scale.

Hey bud, how did the rivets look?

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

So I take it, you bought one? If you did, do you mind taking some pictures and post it on here for us beggars? Thanks!

Re: FOV 1/31 P-39 In Stock

So I take it, you bought one?

Nope, was not sufficiently impressed for the price, especially since it is apparently not a weathered enthusiast version and therefore could appear at Target some day.
Hey bud, how did the rivets look?

Honestly, I did not focus on rivets, especially since it was still in the box. That said, if the rivets appeared overdone, as I seem to recall is the case with prior FOV 1/32 models, I think I would have noticed that.
Basically, I want to wait to see if these show up at Target or otherwise appear as a weathered enthusiast version.
