Ooops...that's what I meant to say, TY Elmer!

I'm on board with ya', fly. I know nothing about that particular aircraft, but I like the livery... I'll take Devastating Devil AND the one you posted.

It's possible that this particular aircraft belonged to the FS below. HM is releasing one with the same scheme in 1/72nd scale. I prefer it in glorious 1/32nd scale instead!

FOV's really done a fine job making this diecast, and let's hope that their follow up would be just as good if not better.
I'm very curious to know which parts are rendered in plastic since their Spitfire wings are molded in plastic?
The pilot figures are worth the price for that diecast alone, imho. Thanks for the link, Elmer!

I did a little reading regarding the Bell P-400 Airacobra (pictured above). The variant had an extremely interesting operational history. Originally intended for the RAF as Airacobra Mk.I, many were diverted to the Soviets when the RAF found the type did not meet operational requirements. Approximately 200 were retained by the USAAF and re-designated P-400. The variant was most similar to the P-39D. USAAF retained the original RAF camo scheme and used the RAF serials. Some of the P-400s were used in the states as fighter trainers; others were sent to the Pacific theatre for combat units. The model HM is doing has an interesting story that can be found on Hawk's site. I hope FOV's tooling has the flexibility to accurately render this variant, and that they do, indeed, do it. That bird ain't pretty, fly, but it sure is AWESOME!
