Re: P-40

That looks really good! I could never get my Testors Chrome Paint to look like that!

Re: P-40

A brazen hussey if ever I saw one. First class job there my friend. P40s rule OK.

I think I might just have a look around for a Specast !!
Yes but I am having enough trouble trying to get a GMP P40. I keep getting out bid. Boy are those things expensive.

Thanks for the compliment jim.

Let's see - model: $10.99, Chrome paint: $3.50, scrounged decals: $4.00, and about 4 hours of time.

Result: an all natural metal P-40: priceless.

You can do it bud - just trust yourself. Lot's cheaper than a GMP or Speccast P-40 and the correct scale too.

Best of luck in your search though - hope you find what you're looking for.

Sorry about that Skunky - didn't want to sound like the Academy Awards. But here goes.

I would like to thank Skunky, jim, Captain Eddie, flyXwire, no4mkit, mustangdriver, hworth, bsmith13, djjeffhall, my mom, my dad, my five brothers and sisters, my wife, my kids, my 21 students, my 34 fellow teachers, all my neighbors, everyone in Connecticut, the nice people at Target, and all those little people who made this diecast moment possible. I appreciate your kind words and all your support!

Actually guys, thanks for the kind words - I appreciate them. I'm so relieved that the chrome came out okay. Next to my O.D. P-40s, the chrome really stands out. And no Skunky, I wiped off my fingerprints.
