Re: FOV 2007 Catalog

This is great news. Good Bye Corgi B 25!
Corgi prices SUCKS!

AMEN BROTHER!!!!!! I don't care how good a Corgi model may appear to be, I'd gladly sacrifice a little quality to have a pretty decent B-26 and B-25 in my collection for 1/2 to 2/3rds the cost! Seems like a "no brainer" to me.

The B-26 looks great and the B-25 has better markings than Corgi's grossly over-priced version.

Heck I got my Corgi B-25 for 57.99 and I love it. As much as these will be fun if they get them to market at a descent price, I bet the B-25 and B-26 are $45.00 + dollars and I bet they dont touch corgi when it comes to quality or packaging. Still looking forward to them, great treat from FOV, hey whoever has this catalog, is there anything cool in 1/72 fighters???

I think we have probably seen the "new" fighters.. Most likely, we will see repaints of the last three if FOV follows previous years..
I will wait and see what these look like, but both are on my list of probable buys this year, "IF" we see them this year.....

I wouldn't be entirely certain about the quality issue yet..Just looking at the photo of the B-26 it does seem like the nose gear hub area looks more realistic than the rather slabby-looking ones on Corgi's B-25s. If they paid as close attention to the rest of it........who knows?..Maybe Corgi and FM will really start to get a run for their money from these newer kids on the block....The future looks bright for collectors of diecast models - just perhaps not as much for our bank accounts and relationships with significant others.

If these new models are as well done as their P-40, then they will give the others a run for their money.

Re: FOV 2007 Catalog NOW W/ PICS!!

Has the new version of the F-14 Tomcat "Jolly Roger" been released in the States yet. Its like their "Black Knights" F-14 in the packaging similar to Dragon which was released by FOV last Fall.

I think someone had bought one from Japan.

The older one with the heavy panel lines and pink nose is still available.

Re: FOV 2007 Catalog

I have serious reservations that the FOV B-25 would be better than the Corgi version, but with FOVs improvement lately, I guess anything is possible..

I'm with you Harry, though at least the schemes they picked are fantastic choices.. be interesting to see 'em. Got to figure they'll be less than $30?

Wow, the Skunk is being optimistic? Who is this, and what did you do with the real Stinky One? (Gort? Is that you?)

Re: FOV 2007 Catalog NOW W/ PICS!!

I would love to see these made to a high standard. I think that FOV can be on a good thing here. Any word on when we can pre-order these?

I agree with what others have said: If the FOV bombers are as good as the P-40, they will have hit a home run.
