| fov is getting a bit better... I must say I've not been at all impressed with FOV to date, sure the price is nice but as someone who collected MB for the same price once upon a time, the FOV stuff just doesn't come close... IMHO. After hearing all the talk about the newest releases I swung by my local target to take a look myself. I must say the 262 looked pretty darn nice -- nicest of all the planes I've seen so far (though the visible gunbay looked wrong to me, or just not worth the trouble), the P-40 was not in stock however. I still don't care for the hurris, corsairs, or stukas -- they had plenty of white hurris and some new stuka schemes in stock.. I didn't buy any planes, but I did pick up the Su-122 tank, which looks pretty incredible for $8 -- I just couldn't resist. I'll post some pics later, if I can. | ||||||||||||||

Yes, that one is a beauty and the FOV German Half Trac with the rocket launchers is too for that price! ![]()

| Re: fov is getting a bit better... Totally agree Pappy, this is a vast improvement for FOV. Just be aware that the planes at Target now have fixed down landing gear like Corgi Legends, so you have to buy the higher end hobby shop editions in the black packaging if you want optional gear. That's not a big deal though - I got my P-40 off of eBay for less than the Target version! | ||||||||||||||

| I got the Pearl Harbor P-40, the Me-262 and the Zero from there recent releases and I paid $16.48 each. Even at this price these are fantastic, The engine detail on the P-40 is amazing, I think it is the most accurate P-40 Early yet, The Zero and ME-262 Engines also have detail and can be uncovered, I dont think anyone else in 1/72 scale even attempted that so they are alone in the engine category. I am quite happy with all three of these releases. Flaps ![]() | ||||||||||||||

Well, Corgi has the "engines' on its 109s, spits, and mustangs -- wish they wouldn't bother really though for what you get. Have just seen the p-40 pics and the engine does look good, but the 262 should just show guns... and I'm not sure what we see there are guns, can't really tell
