Tank Nut, I assume you are talking about the two placements for .50 cal machine guns. They were used to protect the belly because the B-26 lacked a belly turret. They were hand opererated much like the waist guns on the B-17/24. Here is a pic from the AF Museum.

C.17 driver - many thanks for posting that lovely fuselage shot of the (Ex-French owned) B.26, that's painted up to represent the 387th's FW*K "Shootin-In"

Looks mouth-watering in it's USAAF scheme !!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any suggestion for fixing loose wheels on my B26-seems to be a 2 piece hub but I am not sure if I'd be better off to remove the tire and split the wheel at that point-I think the rivet is loose and the main wheels toe-out to about 20 degrees when sitting-otherwise a pretty impressive effort at a reasonable price.

Whats the metal content on this FOV B26. Are we talking all metal body and wings or have we large amounts of plastic
