Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

1250Ships,
Hey there.

That would be a good idea, true. However, I think they are trying to avoid getting buried by the VAST amount of X-Mas releases at that time. Coming in during the "slow" months guarentees them shelf space, and better (longer) exposure. They are not going to compete with Mattel, Parker Brothers, or whomever is hot this year, but they can get the shelf space and hang onto it. (That's my guess at least.)

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Indeed- that might be a better strategy for FOV. Guess it depends on who is actually buying them. If it is collectors like us then Christmas doesn't matter as much. If it is the general public then Christmas is an important selling season. The good news is that they do seem to sell well enough that Target keeps devoting space to them. If they were not making enough dollars per foot they would have been gone a long time ago. I note that in my Target they have moved from space at the wall end of an aisle to the more visible space at the high traffic end of an aisle.

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

I have access to two Target Super Stores/GREAT-Land. The most models I have ever seen is six. No more Stukas, no more Hurricanes. We never did get the white Hurri, but I was able to get it from a Forum member. I have never seen one here. I have the black/night fighter, and the SEAC.

I looked again today: Corsairs and Zero.

BUT MANY LITTLE PEOPLE AND ARMOR....

Louie,

I customized the basic model - added some details and wear, put it on a stand.

Then I did a conversion where I created a pre-production, all-metal version. Did post pictures a while back somewhere in this category - just can't remember when or where.

I've got another of these hanging around somewhere and I want to make a USAAF version or maybe an AVG Flying Tiger. Still looking for decals (and time).

Strange to see the P40 without any clothes, however I see you have applied a little paint in stategic places to spare her blushes.

Thats a really nice conversion Htrap, well done, I like it.

God Bless America.
