Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

The Mule sent me my P-40: a beauty--and not in the box I am accustomed to see in Target. Pretty classy. Then the albino Hurri is on its way from Tracey. Who needs Target? I was there, to both of our SUPER GREATlands. No FOV, but I did get my prescriptions for $4.00!!!!!

Forces of Valor's latest = Corgi Legends?

Did anyone notice that the latest FOV's at Target (P-40C, Me262 & Zero) have no retracted gear option? I just got home from Target with 2 P-40's and found that both have only extended gear, just like Corgi Legends. I'll stick to the hobby shop editions, these are going back.

despite this are they identical? Disappointing news as Target saves you on shipping. Go for the hobby shop ones it is worth it.

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Yup, other than that they're the same model Louie. The one I have is the hobby edition with both sets of gear, so I'm going to get another of these and take these two retail ones back to Target. It's too bad FOV did this - but maybe it justifies the higher price and protects the hobby retailers.

I saw the Me-262 and Zero as well, and the detail in very impressive. The Zero is better than Corgi and easily on par with Dragon, and at first glance I'd say the Me161 could be better than both, but a closer comparison might be needed before I'd commit to that. FOV has definitely upped their game though!

So the Target versions can only be displayed "gear down?" Well that's not a problem for me as I prefer to have the gear down. Once these appear at my local Target I may finally get my Zero. I'm not keen on spending more money than needed.

Can't complain for $10 though

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

I picked one up today form target, and I love it. I was shocked at the amount of detail work on the engine.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Yes, it is alot of detail! Puts Corgi to shame! You can't beat the price of around $10.00 either! And with Corgi's prices going up in 2007...watch out!

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Saints be Praised! These finally showed up at my Target today. There were only three, and I bought all of them. I may have to do a hobby (gear-up or down) version of the P-40 as well. It would be nice if they would do Taylor's plane...
