Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

It's a great reference book you can't do without. Sure beats ALL the Squadron Signal books I've collected over the years and then some. I would recommend getting the Bf 109 I & II, Stuka, P-51 and Dassault Mirage from the same publisher, if you don't have those already.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

I think I'll just wait for an AVG to come out...My P-40s have to have teeth. It's just a local ordinance by which I must abide...

I will comply with your local ordinance as well, Skunky! Besides, the AVG P-40 B/C IS the classic "Flying Tigers" look "always" in my book, and will compliment the Corgi Flying Mule exclusive sitting next to it!

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Yes Harry, I agree! The engine detail looks fantastic! I am thinking of getting the P-40 to add to my other P-40's.

I did buy it and was delivered last week! A great plane for a great price!

P-40 Books

That's a GREAT book! I think that is THE best single book on the P-40 that I have in my library (and I have all the Osprey P-40 "Aircraft of the Aces" series.)

I found the book at a used book store online. It is BETTER for pictures and layout than the Osprey, though the latter really gives more story. The pictures and arrangement worked swell for me who is trying to get a "handle" on the Hawks. It is an awesome resource.

Then I found P-40 Color Pictures. A nice book. Flight Journal had a special sometime back on the P-40.

Thanks for directing me to the book.

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

I really like this P-40 also, if I could just find it, along with the other new FOV planes!

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Just snagged one at Target today and it's nice! No white Hurricane though darn it. First impression is that it's a simple plane but it had a simple price as well. I'm no technocrat so I'll just say it's cool.

Pics of my two Pearl planes below.

Congrats on that P-40 find!

Btw, I shipped your Albino Hurricane lastnight and should arrive to your doorstep by this weekend...I hope!
