Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

These new batches of FOV should be showing up at some TARGET stores shortly from what I was told. Got me a stock room mole buddy to confirm this....

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Didn't someone post a pic a few weeks ago of a FOV P-40E in Pearl Harbor paint? Nice to see that the model is actually a B Model!

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

Ok -
Let's speculate. Obviously FOV will make at least 3 more/different P-40 B/C paint schemes. (If we go by their history/models.)

What will the next 3 be?????

I'm thinking at least one HAS to be from the AVG Flying Tigers. Also, I think they will have to do a British N. Africa scheme.

What else? What do the rest of you think?

(Or is there info out there that I have missed on exactly which P-40's FOV will be doing?)

I think the AVG "Flying Tigers" scheme will happen...I'll put a wager on that! If FOV uses the excellent ref book published by Histoire & Collections - Planes and Pilots: Curtiss P-40, From 1939 to 1945 ....they won't run out of liveries to chose from.

From the book, I would like FOV to do one of this livery:

Tomahawk Mk IIB "White 58" winter camo flown by A.S. Kholobystov, 147th IAP, Murmansk, Soviet Union, winter 1941-42

Re: Forces of Valor P-40 Warhawk

I think that they should make an R.T. Smith #77

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Here we go again.......
You just love that Smith P-40 don't ya.
I have mine on order and like FlyXwire
said they won't run out of livery with that book.
This is one of the best looking P-40's i have seen
in a while.
FOV is in this game for the long haul.

That's a GREAT book! I think that is THE best single book on the P-40 that I have in my library (and I have all the Osprey P-40 "Aircraft of the Aces" series.)
