Not all Royal Navy Hurricanes had arrestor hooks, as many were knackered 'war weary' ex-RAF Mk 1 airframes, that were retired from combat, but deemed usefull enough to train 'sprog' Fleet-Air-Arm pilots. Going from memory, many of the R.N. Hurricanes serials started with a 'Z' prefix. A good source to relate to is 'Hawker Hurricane' by Francis K Mason..... ISBN 0947554 866 - Regarded by most aviation enthusiasts to be the most definitive work (so far) on the subject. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: White Hurricane - Target USA So, I'm all excited about getting this FOV Sea Hurricane now!  But I went searching the internet last night and came up with practically nothing!  Nothing in the hobby shops and there were only two Ebay auctions for them - both in the U.K. Oy! - The Shipping!  Where are these planes? You can find truckloads of the other FOV Hurricanes, but not this one. Is this some kind of limited edition or is it brand new or what? Am I really gonna have to catch one off Ebay U.K.? Will I just have to camp at Target and hope? Anybody know?  | |||||||||||||

In my opinion (having seen the model in question first hand), I would wait. It is not worth spending a lot of coin on, and I'm sure it will turn up if you give it some time. If you absolutely can't wait, put the word out in the wanted section. If you want it that badly someone here will help ya out. If all else fails, I'll go pick one up for you.  I'll try to get one without too much weathering! (Shipping from Canada's usually around $11. Not as bad as the UK but not great either!) | ||||||||||||||

Same here, nothing! They did have a Ceylon one though. Never seen that one before. I asked the toy guy at Target and he had no idea and had nver seen a white one. | ||||||||||||||
