HM pilot figures - aircraft fit?

Recently acquired a set of the HM 5-pack of 1/72 painted US Navy WW2 pilots. They fit very well into the pilot cockpit of the HM Dauntless - almost appear under-scale - but I can't see any way to fit them into the gunner's turret without major amputation! However, the figures do fit well in the Dragon Wildcat, though do require slicing off the seat parachute; a bit of white glue aids adhesion. Similarly - and with re-painting - the pilots are very suitable for the HM Stuka (after carefully removing the canopy), and the Dragon FW190. I don't think they'll fit in the Dragon Me109

Re: HM pilot figures - aircraft fit?

Hopefully the will make some British, German and Japanese figures in the future (Russian and Italian would be great too,,,, need some Russian and Italian planes,,,, like that idea.).

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

They fit in Dragon's BF-109E, providing you shave off virtually their entire fannies along with their legs and sand down a bit off one arm. With the canopies closed, except for the tears running down their faces, you would never notice the sacrifice these pilots made for Der Fuhrer.

All these amputations... Is it the traditional reward for original US navy pilots became pilots in german ME109...?
