Fly , I am not sure what to make of that.

If it had been Robert Scott or Tex Hill I would have been in there in a flash.

John Wayne,,,,,, hmmmm.
Must say I have the DVD (well I would wouldn't I) and I enjoyed it although its shall we say a little off center!

Fly; I don't agree with Jim; AT ALL (on this one)!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure I'm not the only kid that watched that Film on T.V. when 'Peyton-Place' & suchlike were being screened in the 1960's.

One of his most 'Iconic' portrayals - I think it's a GREAT figure.... (though I'm NOT into figureines)

Those 'Flying-Tiger' (like) 'Jackets' were "all the rage" in London, around 15 - 20 years ago........

Gotta attribute THEIR popularity, to John Wayne.

Only thing about the film that's "naff" for me, is the 'Bomber' & 'T.N.T.' part

Thanks Jim; next time I go on an 'F.M' 'blitz', I'll buy a Chenualt-P.40, & think of you & 'the' Film !!!!!!!!!!

I like it but will wait and hope they do the Duke as LTC. Benjamin Vandervort 2/505 PIR Cmdr from the Longest Day. Then I'm in with both feet.

Re: The Duke in "Flying Tigers"

I wonder if there will be a John McCain figure out eventually?

Don't do what BDE tells you to do. Do what BDE would want you to do.

Don't be daft Shawn, on screen depictions count for nothing. He used to be my hero when I was a kid. Then I discovered the meaning of dialouge and that was the end .of THE DUKE for me.I wouldn't rate him above a can of spam
