Hey Fly,
I've got the first 2 (USAAF & Japanese Pilot) and think they are very nice. They fit in perfect with my 32nd scale Corgi Mustang. I've also seen and handled the bomber crews and they are also fantastic albeit a bit pricey (IIRC $120.00 for the set). I got my 2 pilot set for $20.00 which was a good deal from the local toy soldier shop.

I mean like they are a little light in the brain department.

Skunky?.....Is that you being dismissive again??????? Yeah, some do have that Tank Nu....I mean "Handi-capable" look.

Seriously, I think because they're lead you can't get the intricate detail found on, for example, FOV's pilot figures.

Comparing ME to Skunky is like...

Anyway, the lead thing could be it. Compared to 1:48 scale figurines I would expect more detail.

Fly, that's not fair because our diecasts don't come close to the detail of a plastic model and professionally done at that! BTW, that looks awesome and now I think I'll go sell off my collection and buy a couple of those hi-end professionally hand built planes that cost as much as a car.......god your picture made me feel bad about some of the molds we settle for (see FM P-40, Corgi Mustang, etc.).
