Got pilots?

Does anyone out there have the Hasegawa pilot figure set #HE35008

How is their detail?
What's your opinion?
Is the set worth getting?
If you have them....got pictures?

Re: Got pilots?

I have the set in 1/72. I believe they also make the same exact figures in 1/48. I worked a deal with my brother that I bought two sets, he painted them and kept a few for himself.

I have several of the pilots "standing" on the stands of some of my flying aircraft and some on my planes on the shelves.

(see pix)

Re: Got pilots?

I have the 1/48 scale set, and while they are not painted yet, I can tell you the detail is MUCH easier to see than on the 1/72 size.
I just wish that all the manufacturers would agree on what size 1/72 scale should be in regard to figures. For example, if I take the pilot figures from a Testor's, Matchbox (kit - not diecast), Tamiya, Hasegawa, etc. and line them up together, there are HUGE differences. The Testor's guys look like the Incredible Hulk, while some of the others look like they belong with Snow White and her crew.
Yes, I realize that people vary in height but some of the differences are ridiculous!

(Makes me want to paint up the set I have now . . . .)

You said you were painting your house, so.....

You might want to use a bit smaller brushes though

Re: Got pilots?

Best pilots ( you can buy a setof 6 painted) from a set by Preiser.
Check out " Walthers Model railroad Mall " for hundreds of Preiser sets. You'll have to search to see if they still have 'em in 1.72. Be careful, there are many hundreds of sets, and many of them are 1.87 scale!

Happy Hunting!
