New 1/72 painted figures

Caesar Miniatures just released 6 new sets of prepainted 1/72 WWII German infantry, with more sets on the way. Some pictures below with more on my website...

Re: New 1/72 painted figures

Cool! We need an alternative to FoVs rubbery attempts. Any suggestions on where we can pick these up?

Re: New 1/72 painted figures

They were just released so I would think in the next week or two they will start showing up at retailers.

Looks like Pegasus is getting into the prepainted 1:72 scale act in 2008:

Re: New 1/72 painted figures

These Caesar Miniatures don't look to bad! They have huge lots for sale on e-bay, wondering if anyone has picked up a set or 2??

The prepainted pegasus infantry sets don't look half bad either...

Welcome to the forum, austinjo! Do they sell pilot figures?

I'm with you, Capt. Eddie! I'd love to see ready-made pilots from all the airforces and groundcrews as well.

Re: New 1/72 painted figures

No, I didn't see an prepainted pilots...sorry man.

However, I did see 4 more assortments of 1:77 prepainted sitting/riding German infantry packs by Caesar Miniatures coming out in 08.

Re: New 1/72 painted figures

I finally got around to picking these up and was very impressed. While the painting is not up to a modeler's standards, they're still nicely done and play the part very well. They look good next to the FOV figures. The poses are a little repetitive over the 6 sets. I would have really liked to see more squatting, kneeling, and prone figures in firing/under fire poses, as well as a set or two of advancing under fire and casual non-combat type poses. I picked them up from Michigan Toy Soldiers when they were having their 20% off everything sale a few weeks back.

I'm really looking forward to additional sets from Caesar and Pegasus.

Re: New 1/72 painted figures

Can't believe that I missed this thread completely. The figures look quite good. Thought I saw a set of German tank riders on Caesar's Miniatures website. Apparently it does not come pre-painted. Would be good if it does. Very handy for dioramas.
