Re: Figures section

Not to be a jerk, but this is a forum devoted (mainly) to aviation. I was astounded when they added the "Vehicles" section. I suppose that was an offshoot of TFM carrying Dragon and Corgi armor. I also noticed they've expanded on that.....

But as we're no longer an "offshoot" of that particular retailer, I see no reason why we should further "dilute" the forum with non-aviation areas. I'm betting there are forums out there that cater to your specific interests.

Re: Figures section

Personally I don't see anything wrong with the way it is. If you aren't interested in the vehicle section then you don't have to select it and the opposite goes for people who only want vehicles. I don't think there is anything wrong with one stop shopping, I collect both planes and vehicles so I really don't have to look elsewhere but I do check them all out to keep up on Hobby Master matters.

Re: Figures section

Mark1 is right. Let's add the figures. Corgi is starting to sell them. Sure there are "figure" forums, but the members here are looking to expand our knowledge here (at home). I'm sure Mark knows he can't get the kind of input on another forum.

Re: Figures section

I have planes, vehicles, and now a boat on the way. Figures compliment all three. Remember what George Patton said...."Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men."

Shoot, lets have a figure section

Re: Figures section

Would a figures sub-section in the Ground Vehicles area be alright? I can talk to Admin about setting something up there if that is adequate.

Let's change the whole place over to figures! Patton can't be wrong!

Re: Figures section

MODEL FORUM: It is all right with me. In fact, that is how I originally found the MF I: I was searching looking for Del Prado. I had been collecting PILOTS of the Men-at-War series, buying them from the UK and UK eBay. I was then attracted to Del Prado model airplanes, diecast. The Forum told me Model Power and Del Prado were the same. The rest, that say, is history.

Figures come with some models, and as ground crew. There once was a Great Poll taken about pilot vs. no pilot. I read some members try to remove the little "figures." They certainly are a part of the hobby, as far as I am concerned.

The Men-at-War series is being reissued, I have learned, available in California. I thought they were from Spain , like DEL PRADO....

Re: Figures section

I'd love to see a fig section, that's what started me in this hobby, collected 1/72 soldiers for a couple of years, and that led to tanks which led to planes...and as hawkone said, if you're not interested, you don't have to read that section...just my 2 cents.

Re: Figures section

I'd be happy with a subsection.
Don't want to upset the purists, but this site sort of is more than a plane forum now anyway.
Don't like it - don't read it.
You could always complain loudly and lament the 'good old days' if that helps!
