painted HO scale Germans ( Preiser )

I've been trying to track down Preiser painted figures in 1.72, but they are few and far between, although there are plenty of unpainted ones.

However, in the course of my wanderings over the net, I discovered that for 1.87 ( HO Scale ) there is a wealth of painted figures available. Check out this USA site for one good example :

and this UK site for more : www.ontracks.co.uk

There are still a few sets available, painted in 1.72, but it would be nice if we could see more.

Preiser have several vintage sets of 1/72 unpainted Germans, URSS and US figures, and few of painted ones (only Germans)... I have some and they're very nice close to my models !! Shame that we don't have more
However, eventhough Preiser is a traditional 1/87 models train's figures maker, I don't know why they made some WWII military figures in 1/72 and some others in 1/87 ?

MoMo,

The ones in YOUR pictures are ONLY available unpainted although the pictures how them painted. I bought mine from the USA at hlf the cost of what they wanted here in the UK. Look around using Google. They are available.

Re: painted HO scale Germans ( Preiser )

Thanks, Lovethoseplanes,

I have found a few painted sets available on various sites. I actually paint my own, but so many people on the site were asking about information about painted ones that I did a little research to see what was available and at what prices.

I have all the Preiser German figures and about half of them have been painted to animate all those Dragon 251s which I bought this year.

Preiser have a few new sets in 1.72 which look promising, but I have yet to see if they will be available as painted groups. I have seen painted examples which I posted as shots from the Nurmberg Toy Fair ( mortar crew; MPs/Traffic Police; Parade )

Cheers,

MoMo

Re: painted HO scale Germans ( Preiser )

Preiser does put out some excellent looking figures. I picked up two of their Honey Wagons to display on my Marklin train layout. Didn't intend to jump tracks so to speak, but seemed to be best place to dump it. Boy that didn't come out right.
