| Re: 1/72 figures Hey Planetnuts, Preiser makes some decent figures, alot of German including pilots with ground crew, I just hate having to paint them. So much time for one figure. | |||||||||||||

| Re: 1/72 figures
Totally agree with you Mr. Fileasfog !! For the moment, there're few choices for having some prepainted figures : - Old vintage Preiser sets of 6 figures (but only for Germans pilots/crew) - The Preiser's set N°72410 for 6 ground crew. And for painted diorama's accessories/others figures you can find : - The FOV's 1/72 WWII sets of 5 soldiers + some accessories (Panzergrenadiers, UK's airborne, US infantry) For the rest, 1/72 Corgi's figures are not sold alone for the moment (only the 1/32 set), like the Dragon's ones...

| Re: 1/72 figures I think that I posted this Preiser link elsewhere, but it is worth a look to see painted Preisers and lots of sets of ground crew, etc. scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Preiser_Figures_1_72_scale_______Retail_Only_.html MoMo | |||||||||||||

| Re: 1/72 figures
I think part of the problem with getting figures made is the difficulty in finding literature with good colored pictures. If you are going to make a good figure you need good reference material. So if you have any good pictures or links send them to me hawkonevoodoo@yahoo.ca and I will pass them on to Hobby Master. Maybe all they need is this information.

| Re: 1/72 figures
Hey Hawk, I agree with needing good literature (research), but disagree with the difficuly of finding it. We are talking about basic military history here, military books make up a huge market and are extremely easy to get ahold of through the Internet any where in the world. There are loads of books out there with accurate uniforms in color print, and I mean loads. I can send good recommendations if need be as I've built up quite a library of books on uniforms and some are better than others, but honestly a simple Google search would pull up alot here too. I just bought a book on uniforms from Barnes & Nobles a few weeks back for just $10 and it has over 300+ color pictures of military uniforms from around the world for the 20th century. Plus who doesn't know about Osprey books and their color pictures of uniforms (though I wouldn't base my research on these alone). I just typed in "wwii uniform book" on Google and got back 978,000 results. If a company says they're having a hard time finding resources on uniforms, introduce them to Google, LOL.

| Re: 1/72 figures A lot of people seem to want pilots and if I'm going to approach Hobby Master about making more pilots from different AFs and different eras then I have to have some material in hand to support this. I have to be able to say "this would make a great pilot and here is the link or picture that shows what I'm talking about." I need this plus I have to search the different forums to find where people have actually made a request for pilots and then put it all together. It's like a salesman going to make a presentation but he didn't have anything to present, "no sale", it's the same thing here. I have a ton of stuff to do already and I don't have a lot of extra time to go chasing down this material. It's mostly the non U.S., German and British pilot uniforms that I need. | |||||||||||||
