Re: 1/72 figures

There are several books in the Osprey Men-At-Arms series (Osprey Publishing - Military History Books) covering air force and aircrew uniforms and insignia of WWII. For example, from Osprey's online catalog:

Here are some fine examples of the Stalin's Sokols cause we all know that Hobby Master one day will release all those important Soviet-designed fighters and bombers.

The first five images are from the Russian book titled Uniforms of the Red Army 1918 - 1945, the last two are from Osprey Aircraft Of the Aces 015: Soviet Aces of World War II

Re: 1/72 figures

Nice! If only HM or anyone would make prepainted 1:72 figures of ground and aircrew, I'd buy every single one. It would be soooooo good to set up pilots, armorers, mechanics, flight deck landing officers etc in amidst my collection, which is mostly displayed gear-down. It would really bring the aircraft to life!

Re: 1/72 figures

Skunky, check out the Italeri Nato Pilots and ground crew set (I think also released under Revell label) there is a Robin Olds figure in exactly that pose. For WW2 metal figures check out the old Aircam / airwar figures that were released by New Hope Design around the old Osprey books. When painted they look the poodles pieces., Snowy

Hey thanks for those pics, Sergey! I wish Dragon will make these in 1/6th, but I'm not holding my breath!

I'm not collecting 1:6th Figures Anymore, but most of the pieces of the winter flight gear could be used to make a Paratrooper figure from the Vyazma drop of 1941-1942.

Regards,

Sergey
