Easy Models two 109Gs and a 190D

End of last week I bought five Easy Model planes from board member hworth18. They arrived today and I snapped a few photos this evening. He didn't have the boxes for them and two suffered some minor damage during the trip half way across the country. Nothing major but it kept them out of the lineup until I can find my superglue.

BF 109G-10 Croatia 1945- I would never have bought this Croat bird new. Nice scheme though.

BF 109G-10 Hungary 1945- another one I wouldn't have bought normally. Eventually I'd like to have a BF 109E as I prefer the early and pre-war planes.

FW 190D-9 Dora of JV44 1945. Finally a German bird. This one seems to have wonky landing gear. First time I've seen that in the Easy Model line. She has a bright red bottom. Should have taken a picture of that too.

The other two models are also Doras but one lost a prop blade and the other one of the landing gear. Easily fixable with some superglue. Similar look with some variations in the markings.

Thanks to hworth18 for the additions to the air force. If he has something you want for sale buy from him with confidence.

Nice pics, 1250 ships. Thanks for sharing. And yes, Hworth is a great guy to deal with!

Yes very nice pic's... Your camera certainly beats mine! I have those 109's amongst most of the other easy model issues and have been pleased. They are inexpensive and some of the subjects are rather unusual, as you have seen. The only real complaint I have had is w/ the shape of their Spitfire canopies, a little to wide. I have the Pink recon Spitfire which I removed the original canopy and replaced it w/ a 72nd canopy from my scrape box. I think it was from the old Hasegawa kit and it fit much better.
The pre war, yellow wing wildcat they do is also very cool parked next to the Hobbymaster "yellow" Dauntless.

Nice FW. I need to pick that one up, my next trip to the hobby shop.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

these models have just been released in a different format over here in the uk.you can now buy them in kit form as the hobbyboss brand, what you get for half the price is a one piece fuselage and wing,2 canopies and all the other bits plus a decal sheet for 2 versions.having bought some of the original easy model's these are another great item to have even if your a basic modeller.trumpeter are supposed to be the company behind these

Re: Easy Models two 109Gs and a 190D

I have to ask, and bear with me as I don't know as much about German aircraft as I do about the U.S. stuff, but what is up with the red undersides of that FW. I have seen it around before. I am assuming that it was for identification reasons, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

That aircraft was part of the top cover for Galland's Me 262 unit. Because the jets were most vulnerable when taking off Galland secured some FW 190's to provide top cover. They would take off first and cover the jets. The undersides were painted that way so that the flak crews wouldn't shoot them down.

Re: Easy Models two 109Gs and a 190D

They are bueat models, I just got the Croatian Me 109 this week and I know it wont stop there.
I aim to get the Romanian models of Bf109e and Mig3 .

Now if they added another range of P47 in other Allied markings how cool would that be.
